Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of singlesmingleca.com and your RSVPs to the mixers listed on it. The site is run by Singles Mingle (also known as Singles Mingle Ca, "we," "us," "our"), hosted by Adeline Farrer and based in California. By using the site or sending an RSVP, you agree to these terms, including the arbitration and class action waiver sections near the end. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What This Website Does

The site lists in-person singles mixers at bars, breweries, wineries, hotels and other venues around the Bay Area and lets you RSVP so Adeline knows you are coming. It is not a dating app or a matchmaking service, and it has no member profiles or paid memberships.

RSVPs and Event Changes

RSVPing on an event page is free. An RSVP tells us you plan to attend and sends you a confirmation email. It is not a ticket and does not guarantee entry, which is up to the venue.

Dates, times, venues and age editions can change, and an event can be canceled. Canceled events are marked on the site, so check the event page before you head out. We are not responsible for travel or other costs you take on for an event that changes or is canceled.

Age Requirements

Mixers are for adults 21 and over. Some are age editions such as 35 & Up or 50 & Up, as listed on the event page. Bring whatever ID the venue requires. A guest who does not meet the venue's ID rules can be turned away.

Entry Prices and Payment

The site takes no payments and never asks for a card number. Many mixers are free to enter, and some have a door price, usually $10, paid at the venue. Door prices, food and drinks are between you and the venue. No refunds are handled through this site.

How Guests Treat Each Other

When you attend a mixer, you agree to:

  • treat other guests, the host and venue staff with respect;
  • take no for an answer the first time, and respect anyone who wants to end a conversation or be left alone;
  • keep touching welcome and consensual, and never pressure anyone;
  • not harass, threaten or demean anyone, in person or online, including over their gender, sexual orientation, race, age, religion or disability;
  • not photograph or record other guests without their permission;
  • follow the venue's rules and its staff.

Harassment is not tolerated. The host or the venue may ask anyone to leave a mixer at any time, and we may decline future RSVPs from anyone who makes others feel unsafe. If something bothers you, tell Adeline or venue staff, or email us afterward.

Venues Are Independent

Every mixer takes place at an independent third party venue. Singles Mingle does not own, run or staff any venue. Each venue sets its own rules, prices, hours, capacity and ID policy, and is responsible for its premises, food, drinks and staff. Listing a venue is not an endorsement or a partnership.

Attending at Your Own Risk

Mixers are in-person events in public places with people you have not met before. By attending, you accept the ordinary risks that come with that, including risks from other guests, the venue, alcohol and travel. Use your own judgment about what you share and whether you leave with anyone. We do not run background checks on guests.

Many venues serve alcohol, and venues decide who they serve. How much you drink is your choice and your responsibility, so please drink responsibly and never drive after drinking.

No Promise of Matches

We host the room, not the outcome. We do not promise that you will meet a partner, make a friend or enjoy any particular mixer, and we are not responsible for any relationship or contact that starts at an event.

Using the Forms

When you RSVP or use the contact form, give your real name and an email address you control, and RSVP only for yourself. Do not use the forms for advertising, harmful links or anything unlawful. Both forms have spam protection, so a message that looks like spam may be filtered. How we handle what you send is explained in our privacy policy.

Site Rules and Our Content

You agree not to break into, overload or interfere with the site, copy it in bulk with automated tools, or pretend to be someone else. The Singles Mingle name, logo, text and event photos belong to Singles Mingle or are used with permission. You may share links to the site, but you may not republish our content or imply our endorsement without written permission. If you appear in an event photo and want it taken down, email us and Adeline will review the request. Links to our Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Meetup pages and to venue websites lead to sites run by other companies under their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Disclaimer

The site and event listings are provided "as is" and "as available," and we do not promise that every detail is current or that the site will always be online. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent California law allows, Singles Mingle and Adeline Farrer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for anything done by a venue, its staff or another guest, arising from your use of the site or your attendance at a mixer. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

If you have a concern, email singlesmingleca@gmail.com first and give us 30 days to resolve it informally. If we cannot, you and Singles Mingle agree that any dispute about the site, an RSVP or a mixer will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, before one neutral arbitrator under the consumer arbitration rules of an established arbitration provider. It will take place in Alameda County, California, or by video or phone if you prefer. Either side may instead bring a qualifying individual claim in small claims court. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing singlesmingleca@gmail.com within 30 days of first using the site, with your name and a clear statement that you are opting out.

Class Action Waiver

You and Singles Mingle agree to bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action, and the arbitrator may not combine claims from more than one person. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will be decided in the state or federal courts in Alameda County, California.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. The version posted when you use the site or RSVP is the one that applies.
