Why We Host Age Editions
Most Singles Mingle mixers are 21 & Up, and they stay open to you whatever your age. Age editions exist because conversation often flows more easily when people share some common ground. Someone who has been through a divorce, is raising teenagers or has finally figured out what they want in a partner often clicks faster with people at a similar point.
So the 35 & Up edition is not about keeping anyone out. It is about putting you in a room where you are less likely to spend the evening explaining your life and more likely to just enjoy it. You can mix and match freely, trying a 35 & Up night one month and a flagship 21 & Up singles mixer the next.
35 & Up Nights Around the Bay
The 35 & Up edition suits singles who want the energy of a lively bar night with a little more life experience in the room, whether you are 35 or well into your forties.
Recent and upcoming 35 & Up nights include:
- Hardwood Bar and Smokery in San Francisco in September, $10 at the door
- Aracely's in Danville
- Roadside in Concord on November 15, $10 at the door
Concord and Danville give the eastern side of the region a couple of easy options, while the San Francisco night keeps the city in the rotation. See singles events in Concord for what else is coming up nearby, and the full list of cities for every area.
Looking for an Older Crowd?
If you would rather spend the evening with singles 50 and older, the singles events over 50 page covers the 50 & Up edition, which follows the same relaxed format.
Fitting a Mixer Into a Full Week
Most mixers run about three hours. Friday and Saturday events usually fall between 6 and 10:30 PM, in windows such as 6 to 9 PM or 7:30 to 10:30 PM, while Sunday mixers lean toward the afternoon and early evening, such as 3 to 6 PM or 5 to 8 PM. You do not have to stay the whole time. Dropping in for an hour after dinner, or before picking up the kids, is perfectly fine.
RSVPing takes a minute. Choose a date on the events calendar, enter your name and email (phone is optional), and you'll get a confirmation email. Some 35 & Up nights are $10 at the door, while others are free entry, and the event page always tells you which. There is no online payment, so you only pay at the venue if that night has a door price.
