About Singles Mingle

Singles Mingle is a series of in-person singles mixers around the Bay Area, hosted by Adeline Farrer. The idea is simple: get singles off the dating apps and into a room together, somewhere friendly, with good company and no profile in sight.

The story

Why Adeline started it

Adeline got tired of online dating and going out hoping to meet someone, only to find that there weren’t many places where singles were actually gathering. The endless swiping, conversations that went nowhere, and uncertainty of where to go to meet other singles made her realize something was missing: a place where people could simply show up knowing everyone else was single too.

So she decided to create it.

That’s how Singles Mingle began. It’s not a matchmaking service and it’s not speed dating. It’s a fun, welcoming environment where singles can meet naturally, face-to-face, without the pressure.

Singles Mingle is on a mission to get singles off the dating apps and back to meeting in real life — making connections, building friendships, and bringing back the fun of going out and actually meeting someone.

A night out

What a Singles Mingle night is like

Singles Mingle hosts 5–10 events each month at a variety of venues throughout the Bay Area, including bars, breweries, restaurants, hotel lounges, wineries, farms, and other unique gathering spaces. Each venue offers something a little different, giving singles plenty of opportunities to find an event that feels right for them.

Most events run for about three hours. When you arrive, simply check in with the Singles Mingle host, grab your wristband and icebreaker, and start mingling. Food and beverages are often available for purchase, but drinking is never the focus. The purpose is to create a space where singles know they’re surrounded by other singles who are open to meeting and connecting.

There’s no schedule to follow and no forced conversations. Stay for an hour or stay longer. Participate in the icebreaker or simply introduce yourself to someone new. The goal is to create a fun, relaxed, low-pressure environment where meeting people in real life feels a little easier.

Mixers for every crowd

Most events are 21 & Up and open to singles of all ages, creating a diverse mix of people and personalities. Singles Mingle also hosts age-specific events, such as 35 & Up and 50 & Up, for those who prefer to meet people closer to their stage of life. Throughout the year, you’ll also find LGBTQ+ mixers at select venues around the Bay Area.

Where Singles Mingle goes

Singles Mingle brings the mixers to wherever singles are. In 2026 that has meant 24 towns across San Francisco, the East Bay, the Peninsula, the South Bay, the North Bay and Santa Cruz, plus a night in Roseville. See them all on the cities page.

RSVPs

Free to RSVP, always

RSVPing is always free. Most guests RSVP through Meetup or Eventbrite, and you can also RSVP right here on any event page. Most mixers are free entry. A few have a door price, usually $10, paid when you arrive. RSVPing just lets Adeline know you're coming.
